2007 Real De Aragon Granacha~Calatayud, Spain

Jim's Comments-This is one of the WOW wines this month. Fantastic plumb and cherry with an expressive nose of light spice and cassis. On the palate it has a touch of silky tannin, good floral aspect, and a great long dry finish. This wine is tough to do justice to in a short description but it is one of our best deals.

2005 '1707 Crianza'~Almansa, Spain Super Sold Out!

This 2005 blend of 25% Monastrell, 20% Petit Verdot, 20% Syrah, 20% cabernet Sauvignon & 15% Merlot rocked me as I tasted it. I tried 15 different Spanish wines to pick this month's specials and this was my favorite. The complexity was amazing, soft on the palate, lovely floral tone and just the right hint of spice. They only had 5 1/2 cases so I bought them all. When you are looking for an impressive wine to serve this one is a winner.
